DIVING IN THE HEART OF THE GREAT BARRIER REEF

One of the most highly regarded diving destinations on earth is the Great Barrier Reef, located in the heart of this natural wonder is the Whitsundays - the weather and water temperatures of the Whitsundays is the perfect mix for all year round scuba diving.

The fringing reefs of the Whitsundays Islands are noted for their high diversity of coral, teeming with unique fish and other marine life. Some of the best island dive sites are Hazelwood Island, Blue Pearl Bay, Dolphin Point and East Reef on Hayman Island. On Hook Island the variety of sites are all quite exceptional, you have the The Woodpile, Alcyonaria Point, Luncheon Bay, Manta Ray Bay, Maureen's Cove and The Pinnacles.

The outer Great Barrier Reef provides ideal diving sites and some of the best are the Southern face of Bait Reef, Henry's Bommie, Little Fairey Inlet, Tina's Arm (Fairey Reef), Knuckle Reef and Hardy Reef.
